For Jules Bouchier-Végis @jlbv_studio, Extravaganza Suspiria is a provocative continuation of his exploration at the intersection of sculpture and furniture design. The inaugural piece, ES-001, conceived and meticulously fabricated during his residency at La Maison de la Chapelle @lamaisondelachapelle , resists the tyranny of the straight line. It’s a constant fight between intellect and intuitive thinking. Maximalist yet divisive, the work compels an uncompromising response: is it meant to be loved or loathed?

The concentrated 14-day residency provided Bouchier-Végis with the space to bypass lingering questions and crystallize a new visual language, culminating in his first cohesive furniture ensemble.
